man… i now that 1080i is actually 2 540p SD interllaced…. but it’s pretty for the eye… i only have one movie 1080i… the rest are 720p and 1080p… and By the way i Have a Samsung 223BW 1680×1050 and a laptop with a native display of 1440×900… happy?:D

I think its funny when people bring up debates that are not open for debate lol. im not telling you from my own point of view or opinion. Its a fact 720p and 1080p look exactly the same unless the tv is over 50 inches. Just so you know 1080i is worse than 720p. Just because the number is bigger don’t mean its better all the time. Progressive is the way to go. By the way I have a gateway 22 inch LCD 1440×900 Monitor. Thats basically 720p Plus.
are you dumb or what? it’s not HD…the source is HD… and if you have a 22inch monitor you will feel the differenc between SD, 720p HD, 1080i and 1080p HD…
