VIZIO 42″ 1080p LCD HDTV P.I.P. Mode
I just purchased the Vizio 42 inch 1080p HDTV. I had a question about the P.I.P. mode. Is that on the screen ALL the time or is that an option that you have on sometime. If anyone else has this HDTV, be nice to get some feed back on it as well.

PIP is something you can turn on and off. You can also, on some TVs, move its position on the screen.
As for Visio, it is an up and coming name in flat screen TV. In fact it is the top manufacturer of LCD televisions in the US which is remarkable considering the name was foreign to most just a few years ago.
It delivers solid performing panels at rock bottom prices. I would NOT suggest it as your primary TV but maybe as a second hi-def. It does provide decent image quality with some nice features at a low price.
About all I can say is they are relative cheap, for the features offered, and offer a reasonable (not highest quality) picture. But you get what you pay for.
IMHO, stay away from the third tier (aka junk) TVs like Ilo, Maxent, Insignia, Element, Vizio, and Olevia, and those TV brands you usually associate with cameras and appliances, like Polaroid, Westinghouse, and RCA, or you WILL have problems with local service and parts, both in and out of warranty. Pay a little more now and save a lot later. Look at reliable, quality brands like Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, and Hitachi.
