Samsung LNT5271F 52″ 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV ordered this tv on 2/17/08 and it was delivered on 2/23/08. Eagle called and said they would be there @ 8:30am and they arrived @ 8:35am. delivery was flawless as well as the set-up. The price went down $125 and Amazon credited my card. What a great picture (as i had a crt before) i guess anything would look good. I was researching hdtv’s since last Oct. and finally pulled the trigger on the 5271. So far i am not sorry with the tv, Amazon, or delivery. Ordered a dvdr hard drive recorde to go with this and a blu-ray will be next. Also, ordered an Onkyo 805 thru Amazon in Jan.That unit (805) is something else. I hear sounds that i never heard before from my cd’s. So slowly but surely i am building my home-theater system. Very pleased with Amazon, Onkyo, Samsung. Now, i have a question for someone about HDTV. At the present time i have a Comcast cable coming into my home. No box or anything, the cable is plugged into my present vcr that passes the signal directly to the tv. When i programmed the tv (auto) it picked up HD stations 2,4,5,7,and a few others here in NJ. But on ocassion these stations disapppear then they return and they pixelize at times. The question is do i need a hd box to get hd consistenty or should i get it thru the cable line as long as i have a HDTV? I’m waiting for FIOS to come here as Verizon has been in our development last Sept. and was starting to do some digging.So i really don’t want to commit to an extented contract with Comcast or Dish tv.Also,some of the stations that come in (HD) are in 470i or 780i then they switch to 1080i which looks good hen it stays. I love this T.V. I did a lot of research on which one I wanted and selected the Samsung. The colors, contract, picture…everything….is beyond my expectations. Amazon’s price was the best! The “white-glove” delivery was excellent. The delivery man made me feel like a queen. The whole experience was 5-star.
