Pantel (www.panteltv.com), the worldwide leader in outdoor weatherproof TV solutions, is proud to announce that it will feature its new waterproof “Mirror TV” product line at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), held in Las Vegas, Nev. from Jan 8-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth #S27024 (South Hall). The four new 17-, 20-, 26-, and 32-inch screen sizes will be available via special order in Q4 2008, and are perfect not only for certain outdoor applications, but specifically for indoor applications such as bathrooms, showers, and saunas, as well.

“As customers are looking to put TVs in every room of the house, Pantel’s new mirror TV is perfect for indoor quarters where they can act both as a mirror when not in use, and a high-quality TV when turned on,” said Joe Pantel, Chief Executive Officer of Pantel Corp.

With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience. If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.
